September 24, 2020, Texas HHSC put in place guidelines that allowed essential caregivers and expanded visitation with specific guidelines. Many residents were finally reunited with loved ones after six months. But just as many have only seen one or two of their family members and many sons, daughters, parents, and siblings still wait for an opportunity to hug their loved one.

Many of the precious people you see here are no longer with us but so many more died without ever receiving a hug or human touch from a loved one after weeks and months of isolation.
